  • 500 grams fresh strawberries
  • 200 grams milk chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Assorted Christmas-themed sprinkles

Instructions

  • Gently wash the strawberries under cold water and pat them completely dry with a paper towel. Remove the green leafy tops *only* after washing.
  • Place the chopped chocolate and oil in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water (bain-marie). Stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted.
  • Hold each strawberry by the leafy top and dip it into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat about two-thirds of the strawberry. Gently tap off any excess chocolate.
  • Immediately after dipping, hold the chocolate-covered strawberry over a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle generously with your chosen sprinkles.
  • Place the decorated strawberries on the prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
