Easy Crockpot Christmas candy recipe Holiday magic via simple slow cooker tech Perfect for gifts festive treats 145 chars

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450g milk chocolate chips
  • 450g semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 450g white chocolate chips
  • 450g dry roasted peanuts, unsalted
  • 450g pretzels, broken into small pieces
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Festive sprinkles, for decoration

Instructions

  • Prepare your slow cooker. Line it with baking parchment. This makes it infinitely easier to remove the candy later and avoids any sticking.
  • Layer the chocolate chips, peanuts, and pretzels into the slow cooker. Start with the milk chocolate, then the semi-sweet, then the white chocolate. Next add the peanuts and pretzels. Layering helps everything melt evenly.
  • Cover and cook on low for 1-2 hours, stirring every 20-30 minutes. This is crucial to prevent burning. The chocolate should be completely melted and smooth when stirred.
  • Once melted, remove the slow cooker insert from the base (if possible) or turn off the heat completely. Stir in the vanilla extract until it’s well combined.
  • Spread the mixture evenly onto the prepared baking parchment. Use a spatula to ensure it’s a uniform thickness.
  • Immediately sprinkle with festive sprinkles. The sooner you do this, the better the sprinkles will adhere to the chocolate.
  • Allow the candy to cool completely at room temperature. This usually takes a couple of hours. Once cool, break it into pieces and store.
